Our
fourth annual conference will include many workshops and panels, plus
this year, a working "Pot Luck" Studio where panelists will
be doing live demos of their recording techniques. Panels include interviews
with noted producers, mixing on a budget, the future of recording, and
on opening night we will premier "The Not-So-Late Show" -
the talk show comes to TapeOpCon with amazing guests and musical acts.
Workshops include building a compressor, Pro Tools, Nuendo, Logic, Digital
Performer, Tracktion sessions, compressor techniques, tips for buying
used gear, surround, recording, solo artists, mastering, studio business
pointers, understanding digital audio, home recording, using equalizers,
DIY software and more. Everyone from Harry Shearer to Steve Albini will
be there. Friday and Saturday nights we'll have live music showcases
at The Howlin'
Wolf, and on Sunday, a fun-filled wrap party at the historic Mid
City Lanes Rock n' Bowl.
