Our
sixth annual conference will include many workshops and
panels, and the return of the working "PotLuck"
Studio where panelists will be doing live demos of their
recording techniques.
The main panels promise to be fun and informative with real-time
audio listening to the panelists' productions and mixes
as well as the music that made us want to record. We are
working on an exciting keynote speaker for Saturday night.
Workshops will include building a 4-channel mixer, Pro Tools,
Nuendo, Logic, Digital Performer, Tracktion, mixing, archiving,
mastering, tape deck alignment and more. Friday night we'll
have live music showcases downtown, a special outdoor concert
Saturday night at the Hilton, and on Sunday, a fun-filled
wrap party.
POTLUCK
STUDIO:
We
are so very pleased once again to have the Women's
Audio Mission running this year's PotLuck Studio,
with the able-bodied assistance of Chris Schultz. You may
also notice that in addition to the racks of amazing gear
from our beloved exhibitors and the RADAR, there is a new
addition to the room. It's 32 channels of custom Geoff Daking
console! Add in those ATC monitors, and this year's PotLuck
Studio is a full-fledged "world class' studio!
We've made drum recording the focus this year, with a different
session each day. Drum recording is one thing everybody
does a little differently and we know our participants will
demonstrate many useful mic placement and audio chain techniques,
as they show you what they have learned over the years.
Visit the WORKSHOPS page for details on all the PotLuck
workshops. |
